KARL RICHTER

Director/Editor/Writer

Karl Richter is a director, purveyor of tone, and brand fanatic.

His creative foundation was shaped by his older brother, who filled his world with comic books, art, and movies. Much of Karl’s childhood was spent outdoors or in the dedicated Lego-room of his home, immersed in world-building adventures inspired by Calvin & Hobbes—battling dragons, robots, and the limits of imagination.

After a brief detour into design in college, Karl discovered his calling in directing. He began his career in post-production, where he learned the power of editorial to shape pace, tone, and, most importantly, story.

His work blends design, animation, photography, and narrative with a detail-driven approach often described as poetic and textural. He’s created films and branded content for Disney, Logitech, Bottega Veneta, Riot Games, Sony, Visa, Flaunt Magazine, and Lifeaid.

Karl’s films have been featured on Omeleto, Film Shortage, Director’s Notes, and at Academy Award– and BAFTA-qualifying festivals around the world. He currently climbs, dances, and lives in Los Angeles.
