VALORANT CHAMPIONS
FEAR/NONE (OPENING FILM)

VALORANT Champions 2022 was the grand finale of the competitive season—a true spectacle that brought the world’s best to Istanbul, Turkey. Taking place from August 31 to September 18, 2022, Champions saw peak viewership of over 1.5 million concurrent viewers, cementing it as one of the biggest events in VALORANT history.

We journeyed to Istanbul to create the conclusion to VALORANT’s year-long "Fear/None" narrative—a 7-minute horror-sci-fi film that became one of our most ambitious projects to date. We set out to make a film that felt like a true call-to-action for the pros—something that would make them feel like heroes stepping into a Marvel movie.

Shot over the course of four days in Istanbul, with just one day of post-production, the film combined blocked narrative scenes, high-end VFX, and precision bolt-arm motion-matched shots. Every element was crafted to deliver the most epic send-off to the competitive year we could imagine. To create the film’s climactic setting, we used virtual production to design an otherworldly alien planet, directly inspired by the official Champs 2022 art direction.
