CLUB MICKEY MOUSE

In 2017, Disney participated in an initiative called the Facebook Anthology, aimed at creating original content distributed exclusively on Facebook. The company looked to major media partners, such as Disney, to lead the way. We were brought on to develop several pitches using pre-existing Disney IP, but the concept we gravitated toward most was a reboot of the Mickey Mouse Club—reimagined for the social media age.

We conducted an extensive casting process and developed a creative vision for the trailer that felt both classic and contemporary, using bold color direction and timeless, archetypal art concepts. We created a full custom rebrand for the show and even fabricated original letterman jackets as part of the aesthetic. In 2018, an order of the show was purchased by HP.

The reboot was so widely popular within the company that it even inspired a spin-off series in Malaysia. Titled Club Mickey Mouse Malaysia, the show adapted the spirit of the original reboot for a new audience, featuring local Mouseketeers and original musical performances. It launched in 2017 and ran successfully for four seasons, quickly developing a passionate fanbase across Southeast Asia.
