ART OF GREATNESS: NATS x HULA
In this series we took the 2021 Valorant Champions tagline of “The Art of Greatness” into a literal space. We were challenged to create a series of short-films that highlighted the creativity of some of the world’s best Valorant players and then align them with a fine artist who creates a work inspired by the player. For this episode we paired Gambity’s nAts with muralist Hula.
Our team developed this series, casted the Valorant pros and artists and completed all production & post. Additionally, with the artists, pros, and Riot stakeholders internationally spread out and with COVID being considered, we implemented a full remote video-village solution for all shoot-dates.
Los Angeles-based artist HULA, also known as Sean Yoro, collaborated with professional Valorant player Ayaz "nAts" Akhmetshin in Riot Games' "Art of Greatness" series. This initiative pairs esports athletes with visual artists to explore the intersection of competitive gaming and creative expression.
In their collaboration, HULA created a mural inspired by nAts' gameplay and strategic prowess. The artwork reflects nAts' unique playstyle and his impact on the Valorant esports scene. The process and final piece were showcased in a video segment as part of the series
