LEAGUE OF LEGENDS WORLDS:
THE FINAL HOUR

The goal of this film was to capture the scrappy, every-man-for-themselves energy that is quintessential of the Play-Ins stage of Worlds. With 12 hopeful teams entering the stage and only 4 advancing to Groups, we developed the ever-closing “door to Worlds” as a metaphor for this competitive gauntlet where only the strongest make it through.

With the tournament taking place in Iceland, we looked to capture the elegance and mystique of a snowy, moonlit forest while maintaining a cinematic, dream-like quality that is true to the intense experience players have in this fast and furious stage. The harsh weather conditions meant we needed to construct this forest set entirely within a soundstage with SFX, art, and cinematography working closely together to achieve the aesthetic.
